Every Wednesday a blogger will be featured for Simply Adventurous’ Spotlight of the Week. I am so excited to share with you a new and different blog and/or brand. Each writer will also be writing for my lovely readers!
Why did you start a blog?
A while ago I talked to my brother, he actually convince me to write for a blog, a personal one. Since I can remember I like writing and since I was little I like magazines. I grew up playing that I was correcting magazines and that I have to hire models and check articles, I pretended I was an Editor in Chief. And that is what I want to do; be an Editor In Chief. That is my dream, and my blog is my way of being one.

Why Pinterest is Addictive
A while ago I discovered Pinterest (two years to be exact). I found it amazing that I can see pictures and pin the ones I love into certain boards. I started pinning like crazy.
Sometimes I went back to my boards and see what I pinned before, and laughed a lot. When I clicked a pin, it showed me other pins related to it, so I can see more and more stuff I liked. Then, one day, I discovered that those pictures were linked to certain pages; blogs and game pages and amazon and more. I became hooked.
I could spend 6 hours there, nothing else mattered. I saw a pin about Harry Potter and clicked the board it came from and just like that, my math homework or my essay about A Hundred Years of Solitude where forgotten.
Pin this, try that recipe, buy those shoes. Pinterest slowly became the reason of my procrastination. Instead of writing for my blog, reading, packing or anything else, I am pinning. My boyfriend calls me to talk and when he asks me what I am doing, my answer is Pinterest. Pinterest, Pinterest, Pinterest.
And yes, I know, you might be thinking why I love Pinterest so much? Here is the answer:
- Recipes, tons of them. My mom wants to bake a cake for my dad, so I just look for pins. I want to make a cookie in a mug; there is a pin for that. I can find any recipe on Pinterest, and many versions of it!
- Blogging tips: like how to increase your views, how to take photos and many more. It is unbelievable how great this tips are, and how they have helped me with my blog.
- Fun stuff: like really funny! I actually learned what happened to Justin Bieber and Orlando Bloom thanks to Pinterest. I love the humor boards, they crack me up
- Followers: having a new follower is like having a new friend, just magnificent.
- Fashion and beauty: I actually learned how to do smoky eyes thanks to Pinterest!
- Quotes: tons and gazillions of quotes that are so inspirational I actually want to get out of bed and do something.

Totally agree that Pinterest is addictive– in fact, I have a tab open for it now!
pinterest is SO addictive!
lovely post! I’m definitely on the Pinterest bandwagon – I try to limit my time on there lol it’s so addicting!
Great post! 🙂 I’m going to check out her blog and other Social Media now! 🙂 And yes. Pinterest is ADDICTING!
Pinteresting is an interesting form of social media, I have to say…there seems to be this blurred line between content creators and content curators and I’m not sure how I feel about it yet (and I’ve been on Pinterest for 3 years now). It definitely is addicting, that’s for sure!
I also have a blog post dedicated to Pinterest, it’s addicting!
Pinterest is so awesome! It feels like the recipes are trolling me, but I love the makeup tips!
I need to get my number of “likes” under control. It’s a madhouse over there for me right now!
My humor boards make my life complete! Always love finding new funny pins!
It’s great to meet Orly, she sounds like me in that it’s so easy to get excited about (and distracted) with new, ‘shiny’, fun content. 😀 She has an extensive Pinterest account… way more than I’ve been able to curate!

Thank you Esther! It is a fun series and I really enjoy it!
Pinterest is so addictive…I can spend hours on it no problem.
Pinterest is an addiction for me too. I usually go in waves of interest though. I haven’t been on it for a few weeks.
Oh I totally agree that Pinterest is addicting! I could browse recipes for hours on end!
Oh yeah I could spend the whole day on pinterest! Seriously – so addicting!
The amount of time I spend on Pinterest is horrifying. I just can’t stop pinning.
oh my gosh, i can spend entire days on pinterest! haha…it’s kinda terrible 🙂
Oh, Pinterest. Love it and hate it! I have found tons of great craft ideas there as well! So fun.
Hi, I’m Lisa Riggs, and I’m a Pinterest addict. lol seriously though, the blog describes my life…
Pinterest is so addictive. Glad that I’m not the only addict out there.
I still can’t get into Pinterest and I just may be the only one. While it’s great to pin things I never got the hang of it. 🙂
I love me some pinterest its so great!
I love Orly’s photo. It’s so cute.
My name is Ayana Pitterson and I am also addicted to Pinterest! I don’t know what I would have done had that been around when I was getting wedding. I would probably still be pinning!!! lol. Orly, you are A-ok in my Pinterest aholic book.

Orly, I got you girl! Followed you on Pinterest! Follow @Lifestyledco back! PS- I too am an addict. Of all the good things in life!
Super cute, I love this new series you’re doing, it’s really fun!
I got my pinterest soon after they first started. I remember having to request an invitation to join and was thrilled when I was accepted. It was definitely fun when there weren’t a ton of participants but it’s even better now.
I go through stages where I spend all day on Pinterest, it’s really bad when I go on looking for 1 thing and 2 hours later I’ve pinned 100 other things but still haven’t found what I was originally looking for. haha
I was just thinking today about how much I miss spending time on Pinterest… I know what I’m doing tonight….
I am a Pinterest addict as well. It’s just so fun and such a great way to find new stuff!
I go through Pinterest streaks. PIN EVERYTHING and then pin nothing.
Pinterest is my favorite! 🙂
You’re right! Pinterest is the best!!!
Pinterest in totally my biggest weakness. I love wasting time on there 🙂
