Home Tour_Living RoomK moved into his new house in January and of course home decorating began. The first room I started with was the family/living room Who was more excited? You guessed it–ME, of course! Alright, K was a little excited, but more so because I let him choose some of the color scheme.

Did I tell you all that one day I want to do some interior designing? More so, to stage homes when they are up for sale or rent. With thousands of pieces to choose from…in my Pinterest HOME board of course (ps–you should follow me on Pinterest, I post some pretty awesome stuff).

I wanted to go with a modern, yet rustic feel in the living room and I love my gold, mint, and navy blue. I loved the idea of mixing colors and patterns, but still making it all work. There is a lot of work to do still but, it is a good start. Plus, this will not be our home forever(notice how I said our, but really I don’t live there–at least not all the time). Just temporary for another year or so.

Above the sofa there will soon be a canvas photo collage of K and I, as well as our sweet little pup Reagan. We also need an end table… have not found the perfect vintage one!

This wall will soon have a table against the wall for when you walk in with some succulents and a place for keys…still on the hunt for the perfect one.

I cannot wait to share more details about the gallery wall above later this month! It was one of my favorite things to create.

Most of the ideas and decor are DIY inspired or purchased from some of my favorite stores (Home Goods, Target, TJ Maxx).

Happy Shopping!
